May 29-June 2 Buckeye Reining Springfield, OH 2 judges
June 12-6 NOQHA Summer Six Pack Findlay, OH 6 judges
July 11-14 The Little Buckeye Columbiana, OH 4 judges
NYATT Team Requirements
All requirements must be met by July 31
Reining . Barrel Racing . Showmanship . Horsemanship . Hunter Under Saddle . Hunt Seat Equitation . Western Pleasure . Ranch Riding
Be a current SOQHA member
Both exhibitor and horse owner must be a current member
Attend 3 meetings
From November of the previous year thru July 31 of the current year
Work 6 hours at a SOQHA event
Hours can be worked at The Challenge & The Madness
$250 sponsorship for the Youth Scholarship Challenge is equal to 1 hour
Time cards must be filled out and turned into the youth adviser
Youth must sign up on the schedule
Sign up for hours
$50 NYATT Sponsorship
Must be accompanied by a NYATT Sponsorship
Turned in to youth adviser by April 1
Show to a minimum of 5 judges from January 1 to July 31
Must be at a SOQHA NYATT approved show
Your 10 best judges will count toward team points
Must be at a SOQHA NYATT approved show
Only points in the Youth 14-18 and the Youth 13 & Under will count towards team points
Points are calculate on a 30 point scale based on the number of entries
All judges at SOQHA put on Shows count
Only judges approved for OQHA points will be counted at shows not put on by SOQHA
The top two exhibitors and an alternate in each class will be chosen
A member may be selected to participate in one or more categories if there are no other members qualified in a particular event. In the event that a member should qualify in two or more categories in one year, they will be entitled to select the event in which they wish to participate
Alternates are chosen from within the team whenever possible
